"He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him." (John 14:21)
Christianity is something that is believed and practiced, not something where everything falls from the sky, even though it serves the living and almighty God. Conscious and substantial Faith in Jesus is the center of legitimate Christianity, which is not in temples, nor in political organizations, but in hearts regenerated and transformed by the Holy Spirit. Christ's greatest commandment for man is "believe in me and follow me". Following in Jesus' footsteps is the essence of the Gospel, confessing His Name publicly and obeying His commandments, which are the commandments of God the Father, all that is given to us in the Scriptures. To be a disciple is to have a living faith, following a daily and active practice of obedience, love for others and especially love for brothers and sisters in the faith. Christianity cannot be trapped in theology, mystical experiences, superstitions or philosophy, but it is something practiced and lived in full daily life, in an experiential practice of spiritual wisdom and love among mortal beings of this world, like us mortals too, so that all know the light. To be a Christian is to believe in Jesus, being reborn from God through faith, and to live in his footsteps, in the hope of the Kingdom of God.
