The Victory of Love

"And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it." (Colossians 2:15)

Brethren, the Bible tells us to be prudent and watchful over the Enemy, and never play with darkness, although it also commands us to fear God alone, and subject ourselves to God alone. But pay attention to the tremendous wonderful work that Jesus did for us. In the beginning, even in eternity, the Enemy, out of sheer vanity and desire for greatness, slandered our Eternal and Almighty Father of Light, saying that He was not Proceeding, Loyal, and Worthy, and then he rebelled against Heaven, taking with him, in an unhappy uprising, a third of the angels. When man was created, the Rebel Cherub did the same slander against the Blessed Father before Adam, causing him to sin. Yet God is Wise and Provident, and He, full of love, has decreed a plan of salvation for the world, sending His Son to die for our sins.

"For you have said in your heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also on the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:" (Isaiah 14:13)

The cause of our salvation was the love of God, but He somehow accepted the insane challenge of the Fallen One, and surrendering His Son, Jesus, for the world's sake, to be slain at the hands of sinners. And in so doing, he let Heaven and all Creation know what it would mean for God to be slain, which was the base desire and inveterate craving of the Enemy. After living the most righteous and perfect life that could ever exist, and bearing witness to the truth, Jesus, God the Son and the exact image of the Father Himself and eternally united with the Father in one existence, gave His life to satisfy the divine justice, which was against us sinners, to save us from our sins and bring us salvation. When the Lord put himself in our place, raised shamefully on a cursed cross, God poured out His Just Wrath, which was against us, on His innocent Son, who suffered in our name, submissive and obedient to the end, until paying the dark price for the sins of the whole world, shedding His precious innocent blood to satisfy the Justice of God, to cleanse us from our rebellions and transgressions, to deliver us from eternal death and to redeem us again into the hands of the Omnipotent Father.

"But God commends his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)

Through His Beloved Son, God gave us salvation and demonstrated before all Creation what the Enemy's fanciful complaint and reason meant. When Jesus suffered the punishment of God's judgment and died for our sins, He paid our unjustifiable offense and debt for our unbelief, murder and filth, and, because of His righteous life, He made us innocent before the Justice of the Creator, if in us there is faith, because of His submission and perfect obedience. God, through His Son, has demonstrated that He is Beneficent, Self-bestowed, and Self-shared to all, so that He shares His own Being and His own life within the lives of all those to whom He has grant His Sublime Gift, and in Him there is no trace of contempt, individualism, or selfishness, as the Enemy sordidly accused him. He has shown that He loves everyone as much as His own life, if possible were He to die, and as much as His own existence, if possible were He to cease to exist, if only they recognize the least of all possible: That He is the One and True God, the Faithful and Just Father, Protector of All, Worthy of all honor and glory, Provider, Ruler, and Sustainer of All Things.

"Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins." (1 John 4:10)

When Jesus died for us, God's eternal and unchanging love for all was proven forever, for by giving us His Son to die in our place, He proved forever that He is good, faithful and just, and He denies us absolutely nothing of everything we need or will need. If God had wanted to have destroyed man, who had sinned perversely, yet He would have been faithful and just, for man gave his free vow of Faith against the dignity of the Eternal Father, freely and decisively. But God is great, and full of grace, and full of goodness and love to all, mighty to save and mighty in wonders, and it was His blessed will to provide us with salvation through Christ. The Son of God is the Everything of God, and God has given us His Everything for our sake, and has proved to us that He denies us nothing, if we only repent and accept the offer of His love, through Faith.

"He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?" (Romans 8:32)

The Enemy raised up against the righteous government, and against the truth and faithfulness of God, and by rising up against the Almighty, he was disrupted, defeated, and cast down from heaven, and God, at last, utterly defeated his rebellious challenge in Earth, giving up His only Son to be killed, for the love of men and in their place, which was exactly as if He gave up His own life, and gave Himself, so that the possibility of our forgiveness could come into existence, justification and salvation, through faith, demonstrating forever before all the proof of the truth of His Eternal Justice and His Immutable Love which are from everlasting and which endures forever in all the realms of eternity and of Creation. And because the Son won, he rose again on the third day to free us, regenerate us and give us His victory.

"To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believes in Jesus." (Romans 3:26)

In Christ our Enemy has been unmasked, unveiled and vanquished forever, and his reason and claim against us have been undone as completely and irreversibly as could ever exist, for the Son of God died for us while we were still sinners, conquered and raised again, if only we will receive him, through faith, renouncing our sins and converting us to the Light. Christ, because of the sacrifice of His righteous and perfect life, fulfilled the justice of God in our behalf, and also permanently judged and condemned the accusation of the Ruler of Iniquity against us. If we confess the truth of the victory of the Son of God and the Love of the Father, if we turn to the light and believe in all that He has done for us, we will be forgiven and saved, we will receive spiritual rebirth to eternal life, we will be transported to the Kingdom of God and "now there will be no condemnation to those who are in Christ", who walk in newness of life, have come out of darkness and are raised to light.

"There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." (Romans 8:1)

The Lord, in His death and resurrection, canceled the writing of the debt that was against us, and because of His perfect and approved life until the end, He gave us the possibility of obtaining complete forgiveness, reconciliation with the Father and being transported, from today, to the dimensions of the Kingdom of God, which will be, already in life, within us. It is true that after receiving Christ, we must enter the Way of Salvation, because we will receive a Career to complete and win, we will have to face a Fight of Faith and remain faithful in all trials until the end, in order to obtain, after achieving a good testimony and we glorify God, approval in light, and proof of eternal life. But everyone who is in Christ is a new creature, born of God in righteousness and holiness, and because in him is the seed of the Life of Christ, he can no longer be judged to condemnation, and in him there can be no more condemnation, if at least we must always repent and fight perseveringly to continue in the ways of the Lord, for it was Christ who died for us, conquered death and raised again.

"Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God' elect? It is God that justifies. Who is he that comdemns? It is Christ that died, yes rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us." (Romans 8:33-34)

Our righteousness is no longer in us, however much we should live in holiness and obedience in the Ways of the Lord. Our righteousness is in the spotless and incorruptible life of Christ. He lived our life the way we were meant to live it, and he demonstrated what a perfect life is like, in the most approved and pleasing way that could exist before God. The Enemy can no longer accuse us now, though he always accuses us, and is often permitted to afflict us in trials. But now we are no longer under condemnation, as long as we keep the Faith and do not deviate from keeping the truth in our hearts to the end. Christ is our righteousness, and He has defeated the Accuser's slander forever, before the angels in Heaven and before all men on earth who will believe. He fulfilled all things, never committed any fault or sin and won in Faith and Justice for all of us, opening the way of salvation, by His own life, by which we can enter and reach the Kingdom of God, the approval for life, through patience and faith in His Name, according to His Faithful and Undisputed Testimony of the Truth of God upon all those who believe.

"No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 8:37-39)
