"But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that you should show forth the praises of him who has called you out of darkness into his marvelous light;" (1 Peter 2:9)
The true Church, which is not in earthly names, nor in temples, but in hearts transformed and indwelt by the Spirit of God, must not depend on political parties and governments to subsist. The true Church, which is neither a civil company nor a religious institution, but the Body of Christ, the redeemed saved born of the Spirit through Faith, is God's holy nation, the acquired people, the extension of God's kingdom centered on the heavens, without division even on earth, universal and present in all countries, without separation. The Church is the Nation over all Nations, the nation to which the Kingdom of God has been entrusted to the end, according to the Scriptures, and because it has Christ as its Head, and because it is of the Kingdom of God, it is a Nation of power and greatest spiritual authority in the world, without fleshly weapons, who reigns in the realms of the spiritual world, which is superior, and who, for Jesus' sake, is above the nations and reigns over all peoples on earth, seated in heavenly places in Christ, in the kingdom of the Son of God, to whom all power in heaven and on earth has been given. The Church not only belongs to Christ, but is part of Him, as it were part of His own body and of His own Being, He being the Lord and Head of the Body.
"But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ." (Ephesians 4:15)
The Church must submit to the authorities, in the civil sphere, paying taxes, respecting the laws and the civil order, according to the commandment of the Scriptures, but spiritually and in the spiritual sphere, the Church is not under the kingdoms and governments of the Earth, because she it is the Body of Christ, and it reigns with Christ, even over governments and over all nations. It does not mean that we will give orders and interfere in the governments and political affairs of nations, but that we are given the mission to be salt of the earth and light of the world, with the witness of our lives, as saved and reborn of light, living a life of obedience to the Word of God and sanctification, loving one another and our neighbor as ourselves, being humble and at the same time wise, meek and at the same time valiant, patient, forgiving and suffering for righteousness' sake. As a united people, who know no separation even between nations, and who walk in love, unity, and newness of life, subjecting ourselves to one another in the fear of God, and keeping unity in the Spirit by faith.
"Endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace." (Ephesians 4:3)
The Church's mission is not to interfere directly in governments, but to give good witness and shine in the world, through the life of Jesus that was generated in us by the Father, transforming the world through the impact of the sublime love of God present in each of us, opening the gates of heaven by prayer, which is our true weapon, together with obedience and preaching, without superstitious prophetic acts, which are never found in the new testament, but with the good testimony and the manifestation of the truth, which is what really overthrows principalities and transforms nations, preaching the Gospel and demonstrating the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes in Christ, Our Righteousness, receiving the Good News of Salvation for present and eternal life.
"For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God to salvation to every one that believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek." (Romans 1:16)
See, then, brethren, what nonsense has been practiced among those who claim to be Christians in many country. No president can save the Church. If the Church is the Body of Christ, and is linked directly to the Lord, being part of Him, then we must interfere in nations, governments and the world only through the witness of Jesus and prayer, because there are still many governments corrupt and persecutors of righteous, who must be won over by the advancement of the Gospel, but we must not meddle directly in politics, unless it is a legitimate civil career of some true Christian, which is not forbidden, but we must not depend on men for the our spiritual well-being, progress and victory in faith for our salvation. If we must do something, then let's mobilize in prayer and intercession for the authorities of our countries, crying out to God to have vision and submit to the Fear of God, whoever it is, so that we have peace and tranquility to serve and worship the Lord, being good citizens and working hard for the cause of His Blessed Work and ministry among all peoples.
"I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior." (1 Timothy 2:1-3)
